Perfecting Black
Our Absolute Black Laminated Safety Glass meets the 45kg Lead Shot impact test and proudly carries the SANS 1263 – 1 mark. The black effect is achieved by positioning the PVB interlayer between two panes of 3mm Clear, which is then heat pressed through our nip-line, and then finally baked in our autoclave. Once out the autoclave, the glass is quality checked, cut, polished and delivered to our clients for final installation.

Our glass has been tested by dropping a 225g steel ball from a height of 9m – equivalent to a blow from a hammer. And after 3 blows, there’s still no penetration in the glass.
